Dean Tomeski

Dean is 26 years old and is a Queanbeyan boy who has played locally as well as professionally in Europe with Makedonija Gjorce Petrov and FK Vardar in the top Macedonian league. Dean can play many positions but his best position is defensive midfield. He has settled back into life in Canberra while running his business “At Glebe” a well known Café in Civic. Dean is a leader on the field and is expected to play a senior role at Monaro for many years to come.

Ole Stegavik

Ole is 23 years old and is joining Monaro from Norway. He is an attacking player with flair who can play up front as well as wing back. He describes himself as a “technical and pretty fast player who hates to lose and has a winning mentality. He tries to set an example through hard work. He has high standards for himself and the other players. He says he is a pretty outgoing person and who likes to meet new people and believes he is practical, trustworthy and honest”. Ole is coming to Monaro in Australia for the adventure and a life experience. He says he “just wants to do something totally different and meet new people.”

Sam Smith

Sam is 19 but has been playing at a high-level in Canberra since he was 16. He comes from Young in NSW, a 2.5-hour drive from Canberra and is currently studying law at ANU. As a 16 year old and with supportive parents, he travelled to Canberra three times a week from Young to train and play his dream sport. Sam is talented, tough and committed to reaching his full potential while helping Monaro win football games. He is a good top player now with an even brighter future.

Connor “CJ” Francis

CJ was born in the USA 22 years ago but is in fact an Aussie. His dad Marc Francis played for Monaro in the NSW state league in the early eighties before he moved to the states where he married raised a family and where he’s been coaching at an elite level for over 20 years. CJ has a university degree from Colorado where he resides with his family. He is a talented defender who is equally comfortable in the midfield while playing indoor and outdoor soccer. CJ is t is also keen to continue coaching younger players in the club.

Goran Mukevski

Goran is 22 years of age and plays as a technical mid-fielder.  He commenced his soccer career at the age of 5 with Monaro Panthers. During his teenage years he played for The Capital Football Academy squad, where he was selected as one of the top 20 players in Australia in the National Youth Championships. Following this opportunity Goran played for ACTAS further developing his soccer skills and had the opportunity to travel and play in Germany, England and Holland. More recently he played with Belconnen United as part of their Grand Final winning teams in 2014 and 2017.

U15 Boys - Positions Available

There are positions available in our U15’s Squad who play in the U16 Boys Division Comp.

The team trains three times a week with the NPL 16 Boys to give you the best opportunity to make the step up into the NPL next season.
