Be Part of the Club

Monaro Panthers Football Club is built on the contribution of volunteers.

From coaches and team managers to competition coordinators, match day operators, event helpers and people working behind the scenes, volunteers make it possible for our players and teams to take the field each week.

Every season, coaches, managers, club members, match officials, administrators, parents and supporters give their time to create the football environment enjoyed by our players.

You don’t need to commit every weekend or take on a major role to make a difference. Whether you can help for a few hours, at an event, during part of the season or throughout the year, we’d love to hear from you.

Every contribution helps.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to become more involved in the Monaro Panthers community while helping support football in our region.

• Meet other players, parents and club members
• Learn new skills and share the skills you already have
• Become more connected with your team and club
• Help create a better experience for our players
• Support the continued growth of Monaro Panthers

You don’t need football experience to volunteer. Many of the things that keep a football club running happen away from the pitch.

Ways You Can Help

There are opportunities to suit different skills, interests and levels of availability.

A volunteer coach speaking with junior players

Coach or Team Manager

Help support one of our teams throughout the season. Coaches focus on player development and the football environment, while team managers help with communication, organisation and match-day coordination.

Club & Competition Coordinators

Our coordinators help organise and communicate information across different teams, age groups and competitions. These roles are an important link between players, parents, coaches and the club.

Club Administration

Help shape the direction and operation of Monaro Panthers. Committee and administration volunteers assist with club governance, planning, season registrations, communications, finance and general club operations.

Match Days & SPECIAL Events

Prefer to help occasionally? We regularly need extra hands for match days, tournaments, club events and other activities throughout the season. This is an ideal way to contribute without a year-round role.

Grounds, Equipment & Facilities

Help us prepare for football. Volunteers can assist with equipment, field setup, pack-down, facilities and other practical jobs that keep training sessions and match days running smoothly.

Communications, Media & Technology

Football clubs need much more than football knowledge. We welcome help with photography, video, social media, graphic design, website management, IT, technology, marketing and communications.

Sponsorship & Community

Help strengthen the connection between Monaro Panthers and the wider community through sponsorship, partnerships, fundraising, community activities and club events.

CLUB CANTEENs

Volunteers assist with serving food and drinks, handling simple payments, restocking items, keeping the canteen area tidy and providing friendly service to players, families and supporters.

No previous experience is required, and instructions can be provided on the day.

HAVE ANOTHER SKILL?

There are many jobs around the club that don’t fit neatly into a particular role.

If you’re a tradesperson, designer, photographer, accountant, administrator, marketer, IT professional—or simply someone willing to lend a hand—tell us what you can do.

We may have a project where your skills could make a real difference.

Volunteer Requirements

Some volunteer positions, particularly those involving children and young people, may require appropriate Working With Children or Working With Vulnerable People checks. The club will let you know what requirements apply to your role before you get started.
