Inclement Weather Communications 🌧⚡️

Wet weather is all part and parcel of outdoor activities. Throughout the season we will experience a range of conditions including rain, drizzle, storms, wind and frost.

In the event that any of these conditions are happening, we will not play in the rain if:

🚫The fields are assessed as unsafe by our Queanbeyan Palerang Council (QPRC)

🚫Queanbeyan Palerang Council (QPRC) have closed the grounds

🚫If there is an electrical storm

30 30 30 Lightening Safety Guideline

When You See Lightning, Count The Time Until You Hear Thunder. If That Is 30 Seconds Or Less, The Thunderstorm Is Close Enough To Be Dangerous – Seek Shelter (if you can't see the lightning, just hearing the thunder is a good back-up rule). Wait 30 Minutes Or More After The Lightning Flash Before Leaving Shelter.

The general rule at MPFC is: Assume the game is on unless we advise otherwise

If it is raining:

✔️Check the MPFC Facebook page for home games

✔️Check the Queanbeyan Palerang Council Facebook page for ground closures

✔️Check the Facebook page of the host club if it's an away game

✔️Check the Capital Football Facebook page

For Miniroos games our Committee will make a decision by 8.00am and if the decision is to cancel, we will get a cancellation post on our social media shortly after.

Please note: We do not post that games are going ahead. We will only post when games are cancelled
