(U3 - U5 Boys and Girls)
New Season Starting - 10 October 2017
Mini Panthers is a preschool age soccer program with a huge focus on fun! Our well trained coaches will provide your child with 40 minutes of highly creative, high energy and age-appropriate activities that serve as a great way to keep your child active while being introduced to sport through our introduction to soccer program.
We will help your child master broad developmental milestones, appropriate for their age so that they can keep progressing while they enjoy playing with others. Our program focuses on helping children build strong physical, intellectual and emotional skills that will help them be successful on and off the soccer field. We believe in teaching children in ways that suit their developmental level. You won't see adult-like skill drills in our classes, but you will see teaching methods specifically designed to create an atmosphere that is effective and fun. You will see happy, confident and active kids who are eager to learn and want to keep coming back for more.
At Mini Panthers, it does not matter what level your child is at because the progressive nature of this program has a place for children at all levels. We are committed to ensuring a positive experience for your child. We achieve this through being flexible enough to cater for your child’s needs. This could mean that they are free to run off for a cuddle every few minutes or we give them a more challenging activity if appropriate.
The Mini Panthers program has been structured into beginner (Jaguars) and intermediate (Leopards) skill levels which aim to cater for the big range of skill levels that come through the program.
Jaguars: classes are designed to be fun and fast paced. Classes focus on increasing balancing skills, coordination and fundamental soccer skills. We utilise creative games and help kids develop listening skills and cooperation in a team environment. Jaguars is a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using their feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active.
Leopards: classes are for children with some football experience and who are ready for more of a challenge. Players learn intermediate fundamental soccer skills through fun, age-appropriate and creative skill building games and can practice those skills in non-competitive games. Leopards classes focus on individual skill, fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner.
The Mini Panthers program runs on Tuesdays at 9.45am and Fridays at 10.30am and lines up with school terms. We accept enrolments throughout the term.
